Something that often saps my enthusiasm for Action Hat is that the concept of the Cop & Inanimate Object team has been done to death. I mean, MAD TV had one with a can of cream corn. However, a good friend once told me that the main character of these things is actually Partner, he’s what makes it all work. Partner constantly uses Action Hat as a spring board for reflections and observations, and in effect, it’s like Action Hat is his conscious. That’s pretty unique if you ask me.
