Odessa was created at a period where I was experimenting with different techniques and in my opinion was on the verge of improving considerably at my craft. One major factor was transitioning away from ball point pens and to brushes for inking. By this point I’m using brushes for anything “organic” (like Zahra) and pens for everything else (like the trees and Zahra’s equipment).
