My original idea for this announcement was to create a traditional illustration for friends and family to decode via symbols and metaphors. My wife encouraged me to do a comic, which I think was the better call. Her initial pitch was to feature Doctor Science Cat, a popular character from Reading Days which was a nod to my cat Connor. I only decided not to go with that because Reading Days ended quite a while ago so people may not recognize the character, but this page is a nod to that initial idea.
