I’m far too proud of “Johnnie-I-Can-Still-Walker.” “Can’t-Walker” would have achieved the same punchline, referencing being “fall down drunk”, but “Can’t Walker” could possibly apply to other ailments, so I opted for the former. And just like that I’ve ruined a perfectly good joke.

If there was significance to the “97” in Ex-Wife’s username I do not recall it.

I remember feeling especially cramped with this one, and had to make a number of compromises in the dialogue between Partner and Ex-Wife to conform to the lack of space. If Action Hat returns it will be in full pages.

Something I did to expedite these comics was to make a simple silhouette of goods on shelves for the background. I then changed the colors of that silhouette and the color of the background gradient for each strip. It’s a little lazy, but speed is something you need to consider when making comics in this

Ex-Wife was mentioned by name a lot in the original comics, but she never actually made an appearance. I did design her for a little Action Hat RPG Maker game I was playing around with, so I based a good deal of her design on that version, but changed her primary pallet to blues and

The Guns-And-Bourbon store, and the fact that Partner exclusively does all of his shopping there, is a gag that has been used before in little gift comics, but never in an actual Action Hat comic before this point.

Valentines Day has provided some of the best Action Hat comics, and this set is no exception. I’m excited just to upload them again.
